Holiday home decor (Pictures)

"Mi casa es su casa" especially during the holidays, I finally got my home decor for Christmas, after my crazy water pipes disaster flood.

Thank goodness my house is back to normal and just in time for the festivities. We got new ceilings and a good part of the walls, new lights, new carpet, new appliances and new sofa and everything now feels like home again :)

I am totally in love with this sectional, although I am obviously crazy for getting a white couch when I have 3 little ones and a puppy that are not so quite clean, to say the least. I am still working on the pillows, these are the ones I have from my previous sectional, but I will definitely updating pictures when I chose the pillows I want (Maybe some sequins...?)

Anyway, I love this piece and I have no idea how long this clean and pure color will last (send me your best cleaning hacks asap), to explain my white coach obsession let me share with you my top 5 reasons Why I chose this color sofa:

Reason 1: I’m like a virgin, touch for the very first time. White just reflect my soul.

Reason 2: My life is boring and plain, so I need to spice up a little. I like to live in danger.

Reason 3: I must have a Mariah Carey Complex.

Reason 4: I am a masochist.

Reason 5: White goes with everything.

Of all the new additions to my home for this year, the best addition by far is "LILA", just like having a baby for the holidays, a puppy brings the extra, extra touch of happiness in any home, she is my favorite, favorite addition to my home and my family.

I love to play christmas carols, cook, decorate and feel festive, my kitchen is also decorated, but still missing some few details, like the ginger bread house that we are going to make in few days, some hot cocoa and marshmallows and more glitter, you can't never have enough glitter in your home.

"The Rescue"

I rescued her almost 8 months ago, she was lost and scared, the person who told me about her, said to me that her previous owner had died and that she ran away and got lost, it seems that her chip has been damaged and now she can not return to her home, God knows what happened to her since she was left alone... 

Looks like she is been good taken care of for her age, although she has some scars, she is in general good shape and health. I don't know what bred she is tho... she has definitely a bit of Pekingese and Chihuahua in her, but I also think there must be some Bichon too, oh, but she thinks she is as big as a Dalmatian or something, it seems that in her previous family they might had spoiled her a lot that she swears she is a purebred Poodle at times, one thing for sure is that she must have an Alaskan Malmute in her because she sings all day and knows how to do few tricks when she is in a good mood (especially if you give to her her favorite treats).

I think that she has been in a shelter with bad animals because she is a little aggressive sometimes, but since I'm getting to know her better now, I can tell that she has a good heart.

She doesn't bite, but she does barks a lot, specially when she is angry. She does very well with routine but she is not very athletic or asks too much to go out for walks, she is more of a warm weather type and she is not super friendly with the neighbors either, I think is because she can be shy, although it does not seem like, when you see her waging her tail I think is out of  nervousness more than anything, almost as if she hides her insecurities by smiling.

She keeps her sorrows to herself, especially at the beginning, but once she feels confident she allows you to pet her and will opens her heart to anybody.

Music puts her in a good mood and sleeping in the big bed is what she likes the most. I love her hair and her eyes and the good thing is that she has no fleas or parasites, they gave her to me already spayed and up to date with her vaccinations. 

She has had litters, probably that's why she enjoys being close to little ones, it must be that hers grew up and no longer needed her as much as before, so playing and doing silly stuff makes her happy.

I'm going to keep her, but I would like to reunite her with her previous family someday, so that they know that she is fine, she just needs a lot of hugs and attention, I believe that if I treat her with love she could be loyal.

I think she has been looking for a pillow to lean on and feel safe, sometimes she cries at night but when I get close to her she hugs me and calms down, as time is passing I feel her calmer and learning more every day.

Her name tag said: "Natalia" and that's what I am calling her.

I am a fur-momma! ♥ Meet Lila-Joy Zerga

I'm in love! Sooo totally in love with this beautiful, sweet and mellow 4 legged baby girl, her name is "Lila Joy", she is a pure breed Havanese and she came to our family on March 5th, 2019.

Now, if you been following me in Social media you might already know that I've been behind the idea of having a dog since long ago, but the circumstances were not playing on my side, we even got another puppy for a couple of days at our home but his fur-momma decided to keep him at the end and not re-homed him with us. Going thru some "ruff" times finding the right match I was getting really anxious and hopeless, I was looking for a dog that can be a good match with my 3 girls, a puppy that can be energetic and fun yet soft and mellow with little kids, and yes, Lila is that and much more, we got super lucky getting her, she is not only the cherry on the top to our family but is the cutes, fun, and well-behaved girl, I am telling you. I am very lucky, she came already potty trained, housebroken, fixed, microchipped... and with all the vaccinations up to her year, she is 12 months old and we got her just in time to celebrate her first birthday on March 10th!

Now that it's been 15 days since we got her in our family I just can't imagine our lives without her sweet face around the house, I feel we had adjusted super well and we have our routines down by now, even for the short periods of time when she needs to be left at home alone, she seems to understand that is just a time that she gets to rest by herself and she is not even complaining, taking her in the car is not her favorite but now with the help of a bully stick she rides easily and happily.

I received this baby girl with the tremendous help from angels on earth and also from heaven, if it wasn't for them Lila wouldn't be here, I a so thankful and in forever debt with my helpers, especially with one dear friend who basically "got her for me", THANK YOU ANNE, this is the best "present" anybody can receive, your passion about dogs, your knowledge about this breed, all your love and care was everything during this process and continues to be a blessing for Lila and us, I know "Mango" means the same to you and to your family and it melts my heart to know that our fur babies are family too, thank you, thank you, you are the best "Fur-God Mother". 

All of my friends who also helped me thru the journey to find my "Joy" are in my heart forever, thanks for understanding how important she is to me, for listening every time I had news about her and for sharing my Joy at her Birthday Pawty, your beautiful presents were amazing, thank you again.

Now that my life feels like it got one of the most important pieces of its puzzle, I suddenly have a sense of peace, a sense of wholeness that I didn't have before, she is one more reason for me to smile every day, even when life can be taught, she shows me that a treat and a walk outside can fix anything.
