Winter Life and Favorites

Hey loves, Welcome back to my Blog, I am super excited to finally write something for you guys, I missed my little blog (and all my social media) a lot but I was on a much-needed break, all our family got sick after the holidays and I was totally under the weather, luckily, I am feeling much better now and coming back to my routine and to do the things I love the most like writing my blog and sharing a little bit of my life here.
The past few weeks went by so fast to me that I didn't even realize the first month of the year is almost over, here in Maryland we had our first snowfall of the season and yes, I couldn't be away from enjoying some fun time in the snow, obviously my babies were very excited to jump into their snowsuits and play in the snow I am sharing some of my favorite pictures of us just playing outside in our neighborhood. So having winter in its full bloom I also would love to share with you all our favorites for the season, I will be mentioning thru this post along with the pictures of our favorite clothing pieces, items and comfort foods that I find my total musts and favorites for this Winter 2019, I hope you enjoy reading and maybe help you finding something you can use as well.

Happy kids, happy mom, they love to play and the snow and I love that they are ready with the right clothing so they can enjoy and have a safe good time.
Stella and Victoria use these snow boots that I got from Payless last year and that still fits them, very inexpensive but cute that's what I go for on these items that I know won't be worn for more than 2 seasons and only for a couple of times!

Sophie loves to wear her red park from Shein!

I was so happy that we finally got some snow around here just because I wanted to use this new babies soo bad! here they are in all their best, I love these cozy and useful snow boots, my favorite Christmas present.

One of my favorite YouTubers (Michele1218) shared the other day these fabulous mittens and I was very lucky to find me a pair at Target, they are on a super sale right now! (ONLY $3.50) I am in love with this print and also the snakeskin one, but for now, I can't wait to post a picture with my new leopard jacket, You will see how adorable it is!

One of my dear friends gifted me a vest that I was looking for a long time, she just knows me so much! Thanks, love, I think I rocked this look thanks to the pretty vest you sent me! (Similar here)

Chicken Soup

Now, let's talk about comfort food!, I don't know about you, but around here, soups are a must, this easy Chicken noodle soup is a regular in my kitchen, sometimes I made the same recipe and instead of using Chicken I use Hen, which I find at my local Latin grocery store, the Hen gives a very flavorful taste and it's been said in my country, that is so nutritious that cures any cold or flu! The Hen meat will be harder and you will get the soup extra oily (that's why I don't add any oil to it)
The recipe I use is the simplest one:

Ingredients:

Chicken breast or (hen) that will be shredded later. You can use any parts of the Chicken or Hen, I just prefer breast for my girls.
Carrots (In desired pieces)
Celery (in desired pieces)
Finely chopped white onions and garlic
Some red potatoes (in pieces)
Vegetable stock
Noodles of your preference (I use egg noodles)
A piece of Ginger root (diced)
oregano salt and pepper
and green onions or cilantro to garnish!
PS: In Perú we would drink it with lime juice and jalapeños!

Preparation:

I boil a pot full of water and cook my chicken or hen in it with some salt and pepper, once the meat is fully cooked I set the chicken apart and shred the meat. In the same pot I add my vegetable (Or chicken stock) and add as well all my veggies, I let the cook thruly and then add the shredded chicken back into my pot, separately I cook my noodles and when is time to plate I serve as much or as little as each person wants. That's it!
That is my easy and soo comforting soup! :)

Hen Soup
Another good comforting meal for this Season is my "Chili in a Crockpot", I have a full video of how I make it and how easy is to make it on my Youtube channel, Check it out here!

My babies love their lamb hats, I got them a few years back and they are not only cute but very warm for the snow!

Snowsuits, snow gloves, and jackets are a must to be able to play in the snow and make plenty of snow angels!

Meet "Isabel" our SnowWoman!

Snow angels are fun at any age, (Don't judge me!)

I am not a huge fan of the Winter but I am a fan of the fun at any time and conditions!

Sophie is living in her snow boots and in this sherpa jacket, both presents at Christmas, I am glad she is in that age that asks more for clothes that she will really get to use than for toys that will get to be pushed away soon.

Days like this make me a happy momma, watching the girls live this experience makes my heart full, we are not sliding down the hill yet, that is "too much fun in the snow" for this Pacific-Coastal girl, next year for sure ;)

Other fun items we are currently loving at my home are these fairy lights

Sophie got them for Christmas too in her stockings and she made a cute display in her room, I think it gives a cozy setting for the cold nights, and I am personally adoring this cozy sherpa blanket,

I want to take it everywhere with me!
So that is it, all my winter Favorites in Pictures, I hope you enjoy this list and comment about your own favorites of the Season, I can't wait to hear about them!

Hugs and kisses:
Natalia
